The effects of false advertising


There are many organizations that use unethical ways in Fair Trade. Fair Trade certified urges organizations to practice sustaining a healthy planet by protecting natural resources. In the Fair Trade market false advertising is considered unethical. In this case, Global Coffee Retailer Executive Vice President of Public Affairs, John Kellyannounced in his press release that an error was made in Fair Trade resulting in false advertising. Accordingly, coffee beans were not purchased from farmers through fair trade as advertised. Therefore, being unethical creates conflict. Ethics is one’s judgement of what is considered right from wrong.
